Do you have a desire and passion for entering the Fashion Industry and if your answer is yes, the Fashion Scholarship Fund gives you the opportunity to apply for the YMA FSF Scholarship. Qualifying students must be enrolled as full-time students at one of the 60 YMA FSF Member Schools. The scholarship is designed to attract and facilitate the entry of the best and brightest students into the fashion industry. Annually they award $5,000- $35,000 to the winners of YMA FSF Scholarship Program.
As the premier educational fashion non-profit in the United States, the YMA Fashion Scholarship Fund (FSF) seeks to identify and create career opportunities for young people worldwide. The mission of the Fashion Scholarship Fund is to advance the fashion industry by encouraging gifted and enterprising young people to pursue careers in design, merchandising, retailing and business, ensuring the industry will continue to attract dedicated, capable and creative individuals.
Eligibility:
Students must meet the following guideline to be entered in the scholarship program
- Qualifying students must be enrolled as full-time students at one of the 60 YMA FSF Member Schools.
- Eligible students must be a current freshman, sophomore, junior or senior. Please note seniors graduating in fall cannot compete for the scholarship.
- Overall G.P.A. of 3.0 or above in a 4.0 G.P.A. system (official transcript to be submitted).
How to Apply:
To be applying for the scholarship you must follow these steps:
Step 1:
Contact the school educator listed on the Member Schools page. He or she can confirm your eligibility and establish your login for our online application website. You will also be given a case study that you will need to complete and submit with your application.
Step 2:
Work with your educator to make sure the application and case study is completed correctly.
Step 3:
Submit your application, case study, resume, and official transcript by the due date and make sure that your educator takes the final step of approving your submission.
Financial Aid and Award Money:
Annually, they present scholarships from $5,000 to $35,000 to the best and brightest students in both business and design.
Application Deadline:
Completed case study is due October 16, 2017, winners are announced by the 2nd week of December or earlier.
