The Women in Trucking Association has announced that it will be raising money to offer scholarships for women looking to get involved in the transportation industry. The program provides scholarships for and encourages the employment of women in the trucking industry. The scholarship awards vary from $500 to $2,000 per recipient. The scholarship will be voided on the basis of expulsion or dismissal from school or discontinuance of the education process.
Women in Trucking was established to encourage the employment of women in the trucking industry, promote their accomplishments and minimize obstacles faced by women working in the trucking industry.
- Any individual who will be attending a training facility for the purpose of advancing her/his career in the areas of safety, driving, technical, logistic, or leadership is eligible to apply for a scholarship.
- The recipient of the scholarship must show financial need and must demonstrate a desire to further her/his career in a trucking industry related career.

An approved scholarship from the Women in Trucking Foundation will be awarded as a onetime payment at the conclusion of the training and may vary from $500 to $2,000 per recipient.
Scholarship applications are accepted during the months of January and July each year.
