WKRECC Scholarship

West Kentucky Rural Electric Cooperative Corporation (WKRECC) awards eight $1,000 scholarships to member students who will pursue higher education. Two high school juniors in the West Kentucky Rural Electric Cooperative service area are chosen each year to participate in the Rural Electric Youth Tour Program.

West Kentucky Rural Electric Cooperative Corporation, Inc. provides power to more than 31,000 members in Western Kentucky. The Cooperative is a Touchstone Energy Cooperative and a distributor of Tennessee Valley Authority power

Eligibility:

  • Must be a high school senior in good standing
  • Your parent or guardian must be a member of and receive electric service from west Kentucky RECC at their principle residence

How to Apply:

For applying the scholarship, you must fill the application form. Scholarship applications will be posted each year in January.

Award amount:

  • The Scholarship Program annually awards eight $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors who will be pursuing higher education in the next year
  • Students who participate in this program will receive an expense-paid trip to Washington, D.C. where they will spend a week with other cooperative representatives touring the city and meeting with Kentucky’s congressional delegation.

Application Deadline:

Applications are due March 6 every year.
