Appeals Law Group, a firm dedicated to the pursuit of justice, focusing on civil rights litigation, criminal and civil appeals, will be holding its annual Winter Essay Writing Competition. The scholarship competition is open to all current full-time and part-time matriculated students in an ABA accredited law school. One winner will be selected and he will be able to get $500 award.

Eligibility:
The scholarship is open to all current full-time and part-time matriculated students in an ABA accredited law school.
How to Apply:
For applying the essay contest, the candidates must write a 1000 word or fewer essays on the following topic:
Whether a mandatory life sentence without the possibility of parole for non-violent marijuana trafficking under Federal law violates the Eighth Amendment’s prohibition of cruel and unusual punishment?
Submitting Details:
Your essay must be submitted via email to scholarship-at-appealslawgroup.com and must be in Word or PDF format.
Award Amount:
The $500.00 scholarship will be awarded to the winning candidate.
Application Deadline:
The deadline for essay submission is February 1, 2016 at 11:59 p.m. The winner will be announced on February 4, 2016.
