The Vancouver USA Singers is happy to announce auditions for the 2016 High School Scholarship. The scholarship is open for the residents of Clark County in grades 9 – 12. Auditions for the Vancouver USA Singers 2016 High School Scholarship will take place in February at a local high school. The winning candidate will receive prize in the amount of $1,000.
The Vancouver USA Singers, a volunteer mixed-voice chorus, are dedicated to their mission as “The voices of Vancouver USA Singers will present significant works of sacred and secular choral music, inspire and uplift audiences through quality performances of artistic excellence, and promote appreciation and enjoyment of choral music in a caring, nurturing environment.”
Eligibility:
Students in grades 9 – 12 (public, private or home school) who are residents of Clark County, and who love to sing, are welcome to apply.
How to Apply:
For applying the scholarship, the candidates must complete the scholarship application form. The form can be downloaded through the given link:

Supporting Document:
Attach a typed letter to the scholarship committee, covering any or all of the following points as they apply to you:
- Your vocal music experience in elementary/middle school
- Your vocal music experience in high school
- Your vocal music experience in community groups
- Singing lessons/coaching that you have received
- Solo work as a singer
- Experience in instrumental music, theater and/or dance
- Your favorite vocal musical genre
- Why you love to sing

Award Amount:
The winning candidate will receive a monetary prize in the amount of $1,000 from the organization, plus an invitation to perform at the choir’s Spring Concert on March 12 and 13, 2016.

The complete application packet must be received by 3:00 pm Friday, December 18, 2015.
