The University of Maine is offering a limited number of International Presidential Scholarships for first-time, degree-seeking, undergraduate foreign nationals. The university welcomes students, research partners, and collaborators into an atmosphere that honors the heritage and diversity of their state and nation. It helps the students to create success stories with a wide variety of programs and opportunities. Winners will get up to $15,000 per academic year.
The University of Maine was established in 1865 as a land grant college and is the Flagship University of the University of Maine System. It is a public research university located in Orono, Maine, United States.
Eligibility:
- Scholarships are primarily limited to first-time, degree-seeking, undergraduate foreign nationals who qualify for the F-1 or J-1 student visa.
- Recipients of the award will be required to maintain their status as full-time students at the University of Maine.
- Students receiving the Canadian resident tuition rate are not eligible for this award.
How to Apply:
- Applicants are considered for this scholarship when their application for admission is reviewed. No additional application is required. Applicants do not need to submit SAT and ACT scores to be considered for this award.

Financial Aid and Award Money:
The University of Maine will provide up to $15,000 per academic year to the winning candidate.
