Toshiba’s shared mission partnership with NSTA (National Science Teachers Association) to generate the Toshiba/NSTA ExploraVision Competition that makes a vital contribution to the educational community. The ExploraVision competition is open to K-12 students who engage in the next generation real-world problem solving with a strong emphasis on STEM. It’s a fun and engaging program that can inspire a lifelong love of science, technology, and innovation for students and teachers alike. First prize and second prize worth of $10,000 and $5000 award amount respectively.

The National Science Teachers Association is the largest organization in the world committed to promoting excellence and innovation in science teaching and learning for all.
Eligibility:
- All entrants must be the United States or Canadian citizens or legal residents, living within the United States, U.S. Territories or Canada and enrolled full-time in a public, private or home
- Students must be no older than 21 years of age
- National Science Teachers Association employees, NSTA board members, ExploraVision judges and their respective families are not eligible to enter the competition
- Any project that has won at ExploraVision’s regional and/or national levels may not be re-submitted in future years
- Any project previously awarded a prize in another competition may not be submitted
- Any student who was selected as a regional or national finalist in ExploraVision can only compete in subsequent years with a new team — i.e., with students who have not previously been selected as ExploraVision regional or national finalists
- Students enter as a team of 2-4 students with a teacher/coach and optional mentor (no individual entries)
How to Apply:
Applying for the scholarship, the candidate must register by using the given link:
- Each student may only submit one project per year. However, each teacher/coach can participate in multiple projects per year. Each complete project must consist of:
- A Toshiba/NSTA ExploraVision submission form
- An abstract (150 words max.)
- The project description (11 pages max.)
- Bibliography
- Five sample Web pages

Financial Aid and Award Money:
- First Prize (4 teams): U.S. EE Savings Bond worth $10,000 at maturity for each student
- Second Prize (4 teams): U.S. EE Savings Bond worth $5,000 at maturity for each student
- National Finalists (8 teams): An expense-paid trip to Washington, DC in June for ExploraVision Awards Weekend for each national winning student and his/her parent/guardian
- Regional Winners (24 teams): A Toshiba PC, a technology/science-related gift for each student and an awards ceremony for each regional winning team at its school where the team will receive a winner’s banner, plaque, and other gifts
- Honorable Mention (500 teams): A unique prize and certificate for each student
- All Participants: A certificate of participation and gift for every student whose team submits a complete project
