The Mensa Foundation College Scholarship Program

The Mensa Education & Research Foundation is accepting application for “The U.S. Scholarship Program”. Students who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents and who will be enrolled in accredited colleges for the following academic year may apply. The Foundation’s U.S. scholarship program relies on approximately 400 volunteers around the country with support from the Foundation’s office staff. The program covers all of the country and awards more than $87,000 a year.

Founded in 1971, the Mensa Education & Research Foundation is a philanthropic, nonprofit 501(c) (3) organization committed to the pursuit of excellence in human intelligence. The mission and strategic focus are directed at scholarships, education and awards.

Eligibility:

There are two requirements for applicants:

  • Applicants must be enrolled in a degree program in an accredited U.S. institution of higher learning during the academic year following the application date.
  • Applicants must submit an application and essay explaining his or her career, academic and/or vocational goals.

Application Deadline:

Applications must be submitted online on or before 11:59 p.m., CST (Central Standard Time) or 05:59, GMT (Greenwich Mean Time), on January 15, 2017.
