In recognizing the ever important start to the outstanding commitment to the student veteran experience, Student Veterans of America (SVA) is offering scholarships to student veterans currently attending a community college. The organization is committed to ensuring that Veteran has access to the highest quality of education to fulfill their dreams. As a result, they are awarding six (6) $2,500 scholarships to the winning candidates.
Student Veterans of America (SVA) is committed to increasing the success of all student veterans in higher education. SVA is committed to capitalizing on this momentum to ensure today’s and tomorrow’s veterans are supported in their transition to education and employment.
Eligibility:
Eligible student veterans must meet the minimum criteria outlined below:
- Enrolled in a certificate or associates granting program at an accredited institution of higher education for the 2016/2017 academic year
- Must attend a two – year institution
- Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
- Must be a U.S Citizen or have the legal right to work in U.S without requiring sponsorship now or in the future

Supporting Documents:
- Submit a resume
- Submit proof of military service (DD214)
- Submit proof of enrollment in an accredited U.S. institution of higher education (transcript)
- Submit one (1) letters of recommendation detailing your talents, interests, and aspirations (letters must be submitted via the SVA Letter of Recommendation link below and must be on an official letterhead)
