The Society for Research in Child Development (SRCD) has put forward a fellowship named as SRCD Fellowship. Fellows who are scientific disciplines and who have completed doctoral-level degree (e.g., Ph.D., Ed.D., M.D), are eligible to apply. Aim of the fellowship is to contribute the effective use of scientific knowledge in developing public policy. Fellows will receive exciting opportunities to come to Washington, D.C. and use their research skills in child development to inform public policy.
The Society for Research in Child Development (SRCD) was established in 1933. The (SRCD) is a professional society for the field of developmental psychology, focusing specifically on child development.
Eligibility:
- Scholars from a variety of backgrounds and scientific disciplines are eligible to apply.
- Each Fellowship program applicant must be a member of SRCD, and must be a U.S. citizen.
- Just as SRCD itself is an interdisciplinary organization, our Fellows have backgrounds from a range of disciplines focusing on child development issues.
- Applicants must demonstrate exceptional competence in an area of child development research. Applicants must receive a doctoral-level degree (e.g., Ph.D., Ed.D., M.D.) prior to the start of the Fellowship.
- The Fellowships are a training opportunity suited for individuals throughout their career development. Both early- and later-career applicants are encouraged to apply.

- A statement of interest (1,000 word maximum) that describes the applicant’s background and qualifications for the Fellowship, basis for interest in the Fellowship—including policy areas or issues of interest and skills to be acquired— and career goals, including how the Fellowship would support those goals.
- Three letters of recommendation.
- A current C.V.
Award Amount:
- Fellowships provide researchers with exciting opportunities to come to Washington, D.C. and use their research skills in child development to inform public policy.
- Fellows work as resident scholars within congressional or federal agency offices. Fellowships are full-time immersion experiences and run from September 1st, 2016 through August 31st, 2017
- The Fellowships are a training opportunity suited for individuals throughout their career development. Both early- and later-career applicants are encouraged to apply.
