The Women’s Independence Scholarship Program (WISP)

WISP is available nationally to women who have left an abusive domestic situation and who are pursuing an education designed to provide economic independence for themselves and their children. To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, the applicant must be a woman who is a direct survivor of intimate partner abuse. There is no deadline for applications; however, it takes them about two months to review new submissions.

The Rosenfeld Injury Lawyers’ Annual Single Mother Scholarship

Rosenfeld Injury Lawyers believes in the empowerment of single mothers through education. The Ford Opportunity Program

The Ford Opportunity Program is need-based and designed for single parents who are “head of household,” without the support of a domestic partner, and who are seeking a bachelor’s degree. This program is available to residents of Oregon or Siskiyou County, California.The scholarship award is not a set amount but is calculated to cover 90% ($1,000 minimum/$25,000 maximum per academic year) of each student’s college costs.
