TheAWG Minority Scholarship

The Association for Women Geoscientists (AWG) Foundation is now offering its AWG Minority scholarship to encourage young minority women to pursue an education and later a career in the geosciences.  The program is available to a full-time student who is pursuing an undergraduate degree in the geosciences at an accredited college or university.The AWG Foundation funded a $6,000 scholarship with generous support from ExxonMobil and individual donors.

The AICPA Fellowship for Minority Doctoral Students

The AICPA Fellowship for Minority Doctoral Students ensures that CPAs of diverse backgrounds are visible in college and university classrooms. The program is open to Minority student of Black or African American, Hispanic or Latino, or Native American ethnicity. The AICPA Foundation awards annual fellowships of $12,000 to full-time minority accounting scholars who demonstrate significant potential to become accounting educators.

TheHarriet Evelyn Wallace Scholarship

The Harriet Evelyn Wallace Scholarship was established from a bequest given to AGI by Harriet Evelyn Wallace, who was one of the founding members of the Geoscience Information Society (GSIS).  This scholarship is for the support of female graduate students in the United States studying the geosciences.  A new scholar is named each year, and every scholar is eligible for up to two years of support.  The current annual award is $5,000.

TheACS Scholars Program

ACS awards renewable scholarships to underrepresented minority students who want to enter the fields of chemistry or chemistry-related fields. Awards of up to $5,000 are given to qualified students. TheALA Scholarship

The American Library Association is currently accepting applications for scholarships.The program is open to minority group member identify as American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian, Black/African American, Hispanic/Latino, Middle Eastern/North African, and/or Native Hawaiian/Other Pacific Islander. The ALA Scholarship Application will open in September 2017 for funding for the fall 2018 semester.Each scholar receives $5,000 from ALA to combat the rising cost of graduate education as well as $1,500 to attend the Spectrum Leadership Institute held during the ALA Annual Conference.

IP Property Law Section Women & Minority Scholarship

The IP Law Section of the State Bar of Texas is now offering two scholarships to any woman or member of a recognized minority group who intends to practice IP law in the State of Texas. The ONF Minority Scholarships

The Ohio Newspapers Foundation will award a $1,500 scholarship to a minority high school senior in Ohio who plans to major in a field relevant to the newspaper industry, particularly journalism, advertising, marketing, or communications degree program at an accredited college or university within the United States for the 2017-18 academic year. Applicants must be African American, Hispanic, Asian American or American Indian. Applicant must be a graduating senior at an Ohio high school.
