Maine Restaurant Association is pleased to offer The Russ Casey / Maine Restaurant Associates Scholarship. Scholarship fund was established to promote careers in the restaurant and hospitality industry in Maine. The scholarship honors the integrity and memory of Russell Casey, a beloved and extraordinary employee of the Jordan’s Foods Corporation. Any student, who is a resident of Maine, is eligible to apply for scholarship. Three scholarships of $1,000 each are awarded annually based on fund earnings and qualified applications.
The Mission of the Maine Restaurant Association is to represent, promote and educate the food service industry of Maine.
Eligibility:
- Maine resident
- Wish to or are currently pursuing a secondary degree in culinary arts or hospitality oriented programs. culinary arts students will be given first consideration.
- Undergraduates of accredited high school, high school graduates, students of Maine Restaurant Association (MERA) members or employees of MERA properties (including Allied Members).
- Students must be in good academic standing.

Supporting Documents:
Applicants must submit an application with a cover letter explaining their interests, experience and need plus a letter(s) of recommendation from a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality employer and/or from a Guidance Counselor.

Award Amount:
