Penn State Altoona campus has received a reward of $50,000 from Investment Savings Bank (ISB) to fund need-based scholarships for Summer Kids’ College. ISB bank has given the third commitment in support of the educational enrichment program for area youth that has ages between 4 to 17 years. The two gifts more than $200,000 from ISB has given to the additional need-based scholarships.

Penn State Altoona is a commonwealth campus of The Pennsylvania State University. The small campus environment allows for a comprehensive learning experience by combining the high standards of major research university.

Penn State Altoona’s mission is to provide professional knowledge through teaching, research and outreach programs supported by a diverse and intellectually sustaining environment.

“I express my deepest gratitude to the trustees and executives of Investment Savings Bank for their generous support of Kids’ College,” said Penn State Altoona Chancellor and Dean Lori J. Bechtel-Wherry.

Approximately 80% of Penn State Altoona students receive financial aid and 3,366 students receive student aid. More than $500,000 in upper division scholarships awarded for fall 2014.
