NHMC Google Policy Fellowship

Students, who are interested in Internet and technology, have the opportunity to apply for “The Google Policy Fellowship” provided by National Hispanic Media Coalition. In order to participate in the fellowship program, you must be a full-time or part-time student. The fellowship is designed to guide fellows through legal and policy research, analysis, writing and public speaking. A stipend of $7,500 USD will be provided to each fellow for the summer.

The National Hispanic Media Coalition (NHMC) is a media advocacy and civil rights organization for the advancement of Latinos, working towards a media that is fair and inclusive of Latinos, and towards universal, affordable, and open access to communications.

Eligibility:

To be eligible for this scholarship:

  • You must be 18 years of age or older by January 1, 2017
  • You may be enrolled as a full-time or part-time student

For fall 2017 consideration, email your resume, cover letter, and writing sample to brivas-at-nhmc.org. Include “fall 2017 Policy Fellowship” in the email subject line.

Financial Aid and Award Money:     

Google will provide a stipend of $7,500 USD for each Fellow for the summer, Payments will be made by electronic bank transfer.

Application Deadline: 

Deadlines for application to the fellowship Program is 12.00 midnight ET, Friday, March 24, 2017, and application deadline for fall 2017 is July 31, 2017.
