The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) is proud to announce its Northwest Scholarship Program. The scholarships are granted to outstanding high school seniors who intend to pursue a career in any aspect of the television industry. The goal of the NATAS Northwest Regional Scholarship Program is to sustain promising college/university students in the pursuit of their studies in the field of television. Each three winners will receive $2500 scholarship.
Founded in 1947, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) is the only non-profit organization dedicated to recognizing outstanding achievement, raising industry standards, and improving the quality of television and advanced media. Its dedication to excellence is pursued every day by members of its 19 chapters across the country.
Eligibility:
The Northwest Regional chapter scholarships are not open to high school students. Applicant must:
- Be high school seniors.
- Pursue a career in any aspect of the television industry.

Essay Guidelines:
- Personal Essay A: Candidates attach a 250-word creative essay to this application. The essay should explain the television program that you identify with most and why. Be creative… wow, the judges.
- Personal Essay B: Candidates attach a 250-word essay that demonstrates your understanding of what it means to be a producer in today’s television environment. Describe your personal experiences with television producing and how you’ve been inspired by the life story of Tricia Moen. (The material about Tricia Moen on the NATAS-Northwest website.)
