Career Step believes in the education that can change the world and it is one of the very best way to improve your life. The Mothers Returning to School Scholarship effort to help mothers by offering three $2,000 scholarships throughout the year to mothers who are returning to school to gain the skills they need to better support their families.
Career Step was founded in 1992 by a single mother who used her medical transcription skills to support herself and her young daughter. She loved that she could support them both without putting her daughter in day care. In an effort to provide this same opportunity to others in similar situations, she created the first Career Step course.
Eligibility:
Mothers who are currently enrolled or will be enrolling in an academic higher education program may apply. There is no age requirement, but the student must be planning to start school in 2015 or 2016 if they are not already enrolled.
How to Apply:
Complete the application form the given link. In addition to essay and/or video, the candidates will need to provide:
- First and last name
- Program of study
- Selected school
- Anticipated start date
- Phone
- Email address
- Address
Award Amount:
Scholarships will provide three different candidates $2,000 each to the institution of their choice.
Application Deadline:
The applicant can submit the application form till August 31, 2015.
