Minnesota Women’s Golf Association Foundation Scholarship

The MWGA Foundation (Minnesota Women’s Golf Association) is pleased to announce the Minnesota Women’s Golf Association Foundation Scholarship Program. The scholarship program is available to high school senior girls who intend to enroll in college this year. The MWGA Foundation provides opportunities (scholarships) for youth, high school, and college girls involved or interested in golf and promote education by providing financial assistance (grants) to youth, high school, and college golf programs.The foundation will provide awards up to $3,000 per year to winning female candidates.

The MWGA Charitable Foundation was formed in 1997 to receive and distribute funds to advance educational and scholastic achievements. The Foundation is dedicated to providing opportunities for funding basic and higher education, the Association is devoted to promoting the social, recreational, and educational advantages for women and girls in golf by encouraging sportsmanship and interest in the game.

Eligibility:

  • Applicants must be high school senior girls
  • Applicants must be U.S. citizens and domiciled in the state of Minnesota.
  • A scholarship recipient must be enrolled and continue as a full-time student at an accredited college or university.

Financial Aid and Award Money:

Each scholarship is for the amount of $3,000 per year, renewable for 4 consecutive years ($12,000 maximum). Scholarship funds may be applied toward tuition, books, room and board.

Application Deadline:

The 2017 online applications must be received in the MWGA Foundation office by 4:30 pm on March 31, 2017 of your senior year.
