Unity Foundation of La Porte is glad to announce a scholarship program named as “The Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship”. Students who intend to pursue a full-time baccalaureate course of study beginning in the fall of 2018 at any public or private college or university in Indiana that is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools are eligible to apply. Scholarship Program seeks to increase the number of Indiana residents who hold college degrees. Winning applicants will receive full-tuition, required fees, and a special allocation of up to $900 per year for required books and equipment for four years of undergraduate study.
Unity Foundation President, Maggi Spartz, announced that the Unity Foundation has been awarded $25,000 for lighting at Unity Park. Spartz said, “This LED lighting will make the Park accessible into evening hours. It is one more step toward completion of our 2-acre treasure on La Porte’s Pine Lake. We are so grateful for NIPSCO’s help.”
Eligibility:
All Scholarship applicants must be:
- Reside in La Porte County, Indiana
- Be a high school senior graduating by June 30, 2018, from an accredited Indiana high school that serves La Porte County (Including, but not limited to John Glenn, La Lumiere, La Porte, La Crosse, Marquette, Michigan City, New Prairie, South Central, Westville).
- Intend to pursue a full-time baccalaureate course of study beginning in the fall of 2018 at any public or private college or university in Indiana that is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
