Are you looking for Fellowships? The Kresge Foundation is pleased to offer Kresge Artist Fellowship. Film directors, screenwriters, music composers, choreographers are eligible to apply. The fellowships recognize creative vision and commitment to excellence within a wide range of artistic disciplines, including artists. A stipend of $25,000 amount will be awarded to selected candidates.
The Kresge Foundation is a U.S. philanthropic private foundation, headquartered in Troy, Michigan. The foundation works to expand opportunities in America’s cities through grant making and community development efforts in Detroit.
Eligibility:
- Be current legal residents of the metro Detroit tri-county area (Macomb, Oakland or Wayne counties) in Michigan, and have resided in the area for the past two years and are expected to retain residence in one of the three counties during the fellowship period.
- At least 18 years old.

Award Amount:
- Kresge Artist Fellowships consist of a $25,000 award and professional practice opportunities for emerging and established metropolitan Detroit artists.
- Kresge Arts in Detroit has awarded over $3.5 million to metropolitan Detroit artists since 2008.
- In 2016, nine fellowships and one Gilda Award will be awarded in Film & Music and nine fellowships and one Gilda Award will be awarded in Live Arts.
