The Kevin DeMarcus Acree Memorial Scholarship is available for the students who are enrolled full-time in the Culinary Art Program or full time student at Wiregrass Georgia Technical College.
Wiregrass Georgia Technical College (WGTC) is a unit of the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) that provides education for an eleven county service area in south central Georgia. Wiregrass Georgia Technical College offers education courses for the personal development and economic development of the students.
Eligibility:
For applying the scholarship, the students must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a full-time WGTC student
- Enrolled full-time in the Culinary Art Program
- Must have a C average and maintain that if awarded the scholarship
- Scholarship recipients can reapply for the annual award
How to Apply:
To apply for Kevin DeMarcus Acree Memorial Scholarship applicants must fill out the application form, collect the required documents and send it to address of Wiregrass Georgia Technical College Foundation South.
Required documents are:
- Proof of enrollment for Wiregrass Georgia Technical College indicating that student have been accepted or are attending
- Two letters of reference, one personal and one from an instructor
- Tell the committee in 300 words or less that why candidate feel that he should be the recipient of the Kevin DeMarcus Acree Memorial Scholarship and why he is attending Wiregrass Georgia Technical College
- Explain in detail what student would like funded through this scholarship books, supplies, equipment, tuition, etc
Application Deadline:
Applicants can apply till August 5, 2015.
Award Amount:
An amount of $250 per semester will be awarded on an “as-needed” basis.
