The Jacqueline Schiller Fund was established in the New York Community Trust is pleased to announce the Jacqueline Schiller Scholarship. The program is open to CUNY students who are majoring in the fields of literature and/or history. The fields of literature and history are very broad and include many courses and many different programs. Through the scholarship, the Fund provides a financial assessment to those students who demonstrate financial need. Ten scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $1,000 each to deserving candidates.
The New York Community Trust is the community foundation for New York City, Westchester, and Long Island. The New York Community Trust distributes income from charitable funds to improve the quality of life in New York City and beyond. The New York Community Trust was founded in 1924, making it one of the oldest community foundations in the United States.
Eligibility:
- CUNY students in the fields of literature and/or history
The fields of literature and history are very broad and include many courses and many different programs.
- CUNY students who are among the best and brightest
- The applicant who demonstrate financial need

Financial Aid and Award Money:
For the 2017-18 academic year, there will be ten scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each.
Application Deadline:
The completed applications are due no later than August 15, 2017. All awardees will be notified by September 5, 2017.
