Haitian Microfinance, Inc. is pleased to offer scholarship for the students who are currently enrolled in an accredited high school, college, or university in the North-East region of Florida. $1,000 scholarship award will be given to the deserving candidate. Haitian American Association for Advancement (HAAFA) is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to serving, organizing and enhancing the life of Haitians.
Eligibility:
To be considered for HAAFA Scholarship Program, the candidates must:
- Be currently enrolled in an accredited high school, college, or university in the North-East region of Florida
- Be Haitian or Haitian-American and reside in North-East Florida
- Be involved in the Haitian community or any other form of volunteerism on or off campus
- Be able to provide a copy of most recent GPA report
- Be able to provide two written references from teachers as to character and academic achievement.

The candidates must also upload the following documents:
- A copy of most recent GPA report
- Two written references from teachers as to character and academic achievement
- Proof of school enrollment
- A Short Essay of at least 300 words, titled: “How I Wish to Benefit Haiti.”
Award Amount:
$1,000 scholarship award will be given to the winning candidate.
