Graduate Student Public Humanities Fellowship

Are you a PHD student? New York Council for the Humanities (NYIH) in partnership with seven New York research universities is contented to declare Graduate Student Public Humanities Fellowship. If you are a resident of New York State, you are eligible to apply. Fellowship involves a combination of training in the methods and approaches of public scholarship. Selected candidates will receive stipend of $8,000 ,$500 as travel and research stipend.

The New York Institute for the Humanities (NYIH) was founded in 1976. It is an academic organization affiliated with New York University. Aim of NYIH is to promote the exchange of ideas between academics, professionals and the general public.

Eligibility:

  • Applicants must be residents of New York State and enrolled as a graduate student in a humanities discipline
  • Broadly defined, at one of these seven universities:  The City University of New York Graduate Center, Columbia University, Cornell University, New York University, SUNY Buffalo, SUNY Stony Brook, or Syracuse University
  • Must be second-year PhD candidate or above

Award Amount:
