Frias Cofund Fellowship Programme

 

The Freiburg Institute for Advanced Studies (FRIAS) supports innovative research projects through individual fellowships. FRIAS is offering junior fellowship and senior fellowship for the students. The fellowship is available for top researchers from abroad who have the potential to give their best contribution to scholarly community.

The Freiburg Institute for Advanced Studies is the international research college of the University of Freiburg. The University of Freiburg, one of the strongest research universities in Germany and member of LERU (the League of European Research Universities).

Eligibility:

Top researchers from abroad who have capability to give their input to scholarly community, both in terms of research expertise and benefitting the university’s vibrant research, are welcome to apply.

How to Apply:

  1. For external senior fellowships

The candidates must fill the on-line application form. The link is:

  • Cover Page
  • Project Proposal
  • CV in tabular form (max. 2 pages)
  • Publication list(especially of the last ten years) highlighting the most important publications and the most important project-specific publications (max. 2 pages)
  • Completed ethical issues table

  1. For junior fellowships

For applying the junior fellowship, the candidates must fill the on-line application form. The link is:

  • Cover Page
  • Project Proposal
  • CV in tabular form (max. 2 pages), incl. contact details of two referees.
  • Publication listhighlighting the most important publications and the most important project-specific publications (max. 2 pages).
  • Completed ethical issues table(mandatory for all disciplines)

Award amount:

Successful applicants will become FRIAS fellows with all the corresponding rights and obligations for the requested funding period. Each fellow will receive a mobility allowance and a research cost contribution (theoretical sciences: up to 450 € per month, experimental sciences: up to 1.050 € per month).
