The French-American Foundation's Immigration Journalism Award

The French-American Foundation-United States has launched the Immigration Journalism Award. The journalism prize is specifically dedicated to excellence in the global coverage of immigration and integration. The French-American Foundation will recognize the work of two journalists – one based in North America, the other in Europe – for best immigration reporting in 2015-2016. Two journalists will each receive $3,500.

The French-American Foundation is supported by the generosity of individuals, corporations, and foundations committed to strengthening the French-American relationship.

Eligibility:

The French-American Foundation Immigration Journalism Award is open for journalist students.

How to Apply:

  • For applying the contest, you have to create your account by the given link: https://frenchamericanfoundation.submittable.com/submit/55112
  • Just fill in a form, submit your piece, two work samples and provide contact information for two professional references (no letter of recommendation necessary). All journalism formats are accepted (print, video, photo, etc.).

Award Amount:

  • The two journalists will be selected, and each receives $3,500.
  • Award recipients will be invited to attend and speak at a ceremony in the fall in New York, where their work will be celebrated in the presence of renowned media professionals.
