Farmer’s Business Network, Inc. (FBN) is pleased to announce the scholarship for those who have a strong interest in farming or industries related to farming. FBN is proud to support the next generation of farmers in their pursuit of higher education.FBN is committed to the success of America’s farming communities, future farmers and agricultural innovators.
Farmer’s Business Network, Inc. (FBN) maniacally focused on building amazing products and creating great experience and value for growers. The team has decades of experience in agronomy, precision agriculture, data science, technology, and farming.
Eligibility:
- Any student entering their junior or senior year majoring in the one of the following areas can apply for the scholarship.
- Agribusiness
- Ag & Biosystems Engineering
- Plant Pathology
- Plant Science
- Precision Ag
- Agronomy
- Applicants must expect to graduate before or at the end of the 2016-2017 academic year
- Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher to be eligible
How to Apply:
For applying the scholarship,
- The candidates must fill the application form. The form can be downloaded by the given link:

- Write a short essay (500 words or less) that answers the following questions:
- What makes you most passionate about agriculture?
- What do you hope to accomplish in your career in agriculture?
- Save your response in PDF form
Submitting Details:
- You can contact your University Scholarship Administrator for details on how to submit the application. FBN will select ag students from each of the following Universities:
- University of Illinois
- Iowa State University
- University of Minnesota
- University of Nebraska
- North Dakota State University
- South Dakota State University
- If you do not attend one of the above Universities, submit the application to: scholarship-at-farmersbusinessnetwork.com.
Award Amount:
FBN will select (2) agriculture students from each of the given states: Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota.
Each winner will:
- Be awarded $1,000 toward their school tuition for the 2015-2016 academic year
- Be connected with a local farmer and FBN employee who will provide scholastic and career mentorship throughout their school year
- Have their photo and bio featured on FBN’s website
