ERCOT Engineer Development Program Reach Scholarship

At the University of Texas at Austin, the Cockrell School of Engineering is pleased to announce the ERCOT EDP Reach Scholarship, funded by ERCOT employees. Students who are pursuing undergraduate or master’s degrees in electrical engineering, preferably with a focus on power systems, are invited to apply. The purpose of the program is to provide a scholarship to those students who are majoring in electrical and computer. The winner of the ERCOT EDP Reach Scholarship will get up to $1,000 scholarship award.

Eligibility:

To eligible for the scholarship the applicant:

  • Must be first-year, sophomore, junior, senior, masters who are majoring in electrical and computer
  • Must be pursuing a degree in electrical engineering, preferably with a focus on power systems.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

Supporting Documents:

Essay: In your own words, what do you consider the most important issue concerning the power grid today? (Approximately 250-500 words)

Submitting Details:

The complete application with all accompanying documents must submit to ERCOT EDP Reach at EDPReach-at-ercot.com

Financial Aid and Award Money:

The $1,000 scholarship is funded by ERCOT employees to the winning candidate.

Application Deadline:

The application must be postmarked no later than May 1, 2017.
