The George H. Nofer Scholarship

The George H. Nofer Scholarship for Law and Public Policy is for full-time graduate students with a moderate to profound hearing loss. The program is open those students who are attending full-time an accredited law school or graduate school and working towards a master or doctoral degree in public policy or public administration at an accredited university or college. Up to three awards of up to $5,000 each may be awarded in any given year.

The Virginia Sheriffs’ Scholarship Program

Each year, the Virginia Sheriffs’ Institute offers several scholarships for at least $1,000 apiece to young people statewide who need financial assistance to advance their educational endeavors in the criminal justice field. Qualified candidates must live in a locality led by a member sheriff, have a declared major in criminal justice, be attending a Virginia college full-time, and display potential for a career in law enforcement.

The Paul Janosky Criminal Justice-Related Majors Scholarship

by the Police Officer Assistance Trust (POAT), the Paul Janosky Criminal Justice Scholarship is designed to provide a one-time award for $1,000 to a graduating high school senior or full-time college student from Miami-Dade, Broward, or Monroe counties in Florida. One scholarship in the amount of $1,000 will be awarded.  Prior applicants and recipients may apply for this scholarship annually.

Dan Sprehe Memorial Scholarship

The Greater Chicago Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners supports the education of collegiate accounting, business administration, finance, and criminal justice majors from the greater Chicago area through the Dan Sprehe Memorial Scholarship Fund. Students or recent graduates from the greater Chicago area who are members of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners are eligible to apply for this scholarship. The Chicago Chapter will reimburse up to ten (10) students per academic year for the cost of the ACFE Exam Prep and CFE Exam upon passing the exam. This amount is currently at the student discount cost of $350.
