College of Charleston Crossing the Cistern Scholarship

The Office of Institutional Diversity at the College of Charleston would like to announce a new one-year scholarship program named as “Crossing the Cistern’ Scholarship”. The scholarship program is designed for rising sophomores who have at last 30 earned credit hours and a GPA between 2.0 and 2.4. The program, called crossing the Cistern, is designed to address financial support and to help foster a sense of community among students, particular students of color. Award amount is as follows: $1,500 in fall & $1,500 in spring, $1,000 internship contingent upon GPA increase in the fall.

The College of Charleston is a state-supported comprehensive institution providing a high-quality education in the arts and sciences, education, and business. Consistent with its heritage since its founding in 1770, the College retains strong liberal art undergraduate curriculum.

Eligibility:

To be eligible, the student must possess

  • Rising sophomores and juniors with a GPA between 2.0 – 2.4
  • Minimum 30 earned credit hours
