This scholarship is anticipated to help the promising students who have either personally faced heart disease or have seen loved-ones deal with the illness. The firm wants to lighten the load for one high-achieving, dedicated student by awarding a $1,000 scholarship.
Katz & Phillips, P.A. is a Florida law firm representing clients throughout the Sunshine State with DUI (Driving under the Influence) cases.
Eligibility:
- The applicants are either accepted to or currently enrolled in an accredited college or university within the United States.
- The applicants must have a minimum 2.8 GPA
How to Apply:

Supporting Documents:
1) The candidates must upload an essay of 500-1000 words. Choose one of the questions below
- How has heart disease changed your view of your purpose in life?
- Witnessing a loved one face heart disease can be difficult. Describe the challenges you’ve faced in supporting or caring for a loved one, and how you dealt with these challenges.
- Did your heart disease diagnosis change the way friends or family members treated you? How did you respond to this change?
2) An unofficial copy of your transcript
Submitting Details:
Once you have completed your application form, you can submit it on-line. You can upload essay and unofficial copy of your transcript.
Award Amount:
A $1,000 scholarship amount will be given to the winning candidate.
Application Deadline:
July 31st is the application deadline for fall semester.
