The Google Inc. is sponsoring the “Actions on Google Challenge”, that is a skill contest where participants must develop an app for the Actions on Google platform. This challenge is open to all countries and applicant must be above the age of majority in the country, state, province or jurisdiction of residence (or at least twenty years old in Taiwan) at the time of entry. The contest is the platform that allows developers to build for the Google Assistant on Google Home, eligible Android phones, iPhones, and soon everywhere else the Assistant is available.No purchase necessary to enter or win. Enter to win more than 20 prizes including a trip to Google I/O 2018.Google will provide up to USD$10,000 to the winning candidates.

Eligibility:
To be eligible for the “Actions on Google Challenge”, the participants must:
- Be of legal majority age in the country, state, province or jurisdiction of residence
- Not be a resident of Italy, Brazil, Quebec, Crimea, Cuba, Iran, Syria, North Korea, or Sudan.
- The applicant can join as a team- your team can have up to 3 people total.
- Not a person or entity under U.S. export controls or sanctions
- Have access to the Internet as of May 17, 2017.
- Contest is void in Italy, Brazil, Quebec, Crimea, Cuba, Iran, Syria, North Korea, Sudan, and where prohibited by law.
- Employees, interns, contractors, and official office-holders of Google, and its parent company, subsidiaries, affiliates, and their respective directors, officers, employees, advertising and promotion agencies, representatives, and agents (“Contest Entities”), and members of the Contest Entities’ and their immediate families (parents, siblings, children, spouses, and life partners of each, regardless of where they live) and members of the households (whether related or not) of such employees, officers and directors are ineligible to participate in this Contest.
- Sponsor reserves the right to verify eligibility and to adjudicate on any dispute at any time.
How to Apply:

Supporting Documents:
Submit app- the applicant can submit up to 3 different apps for the Assistant, as long as they are sufficiently differentiated experiences
- Written parts of entries must be in English to be eligible.
- Your App must, at a minimum, must support English language use.
Financial Aid and Award Money:

- Best parenting app. $5,000 and a Google Home device (approximate retail value: $129.)
- Most adaptive app. $2,500 and a Google-branded item of clothing, bag, or similar personal item, at Google’s discretion (approximate retail value: $50.)
- Best life hack. $5,000 and a Google Home device (approximate retail value: $129.)
- Best DashBot powered app. $5,000.
- Best Converse.ai app. $5,000.
- Best API.AI app. $5,000.
- For multi-member teams, cash prizes will be split equally across team members, while noncash prizes will be awarded separately to each team member. For instance, if a three-member team wins a prize for $5,000 and a Google Home device, each team member will receive $1,666.66 and a Google Home device.
- If an individual who wins a Google Home device resides in a country where Google Home is not generally available to purchase at retail, that individual will receive a cash prize of $129 instead of the device.
