2017 ISSA Foundation Scholarship

Take advantage of 2017 ISSA Foundation Scholarship opportunity and further your career as the ISSA Foundation is offering scholarship to entering or continuing studies at a fully accredited four-year college or university. Scholarship awards will be made on the basis of merit, individual accomplishments, and evidence of leadership. Financial need and other special circumstances may also be considered.  The annual scholarships awarded total more than $150,000 to the approximately 50 students.

The mission of the ISSA Foundation is to raise and provide funds for scholarships, research grants, and other programs that promote the welfare of the general public as it relates to the sanitation, cleaning, and maintenance industry.

Eligibility:

  • Candidates should be entering or continuing studies at a fully accredited four-year college or university in the fall of 2017 to major in whatever they desire
  • Scholarship is available to employees of ISSA member companies and their family members
  • Qualified applicants sponsored by an ISSA-member company for any college
    of the student’s choice
  • Qualified applicants for a specific university, the college prescreens the applicants
  • Graduates of specific high schools, the high school prescreens the applicants.

  • Essay
  • Academic Activity and Leadership record
  • Most recent official high school or college/university transcript. Printed copies from the Internet will not be accepted.
  • Required for H.S. Seniors: Official SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT, or LSAT test scores. You may send a copy of the original document received from the testing agency. These scores do not have to be submitted if they appear on your high school transcript, or if you are already in college.
  • Two evaluations from current or past professors or teaching assistants. If you are unable to obtain two educational evaluations, you may have the forms completed by an employer, supervisor, or coach.

Financial Aid and Award Amount:

Each year the ISSA Foundation provides more than 50 scholarships to students attending public and private colleges and universities. The annual scholarships awarded total more than $150,000.

Application Deadline:

The completed application packet must be submitted by March 1, 2017.
