NHHF Professional Student Scholarship

The National Hispanic Health Foundation (NHHF) is excited to announce National Hispanic Health Professional Student Scholarship Program. This is only national scholarship program which is targeted at Hispanic students who are committed to careers in health care and the students who are enrolled full-time in dental, medical, nursing, public health, and policy schools.

The National Hispanic Health Foundation (NHHF) is a nonprofit foundation, established by the National Hispanic Medical Association (NHMA) in 1994 as the National Hispanic Medical Foundation.

Eligibility:

  • U.S. Citizens, permanent lawful residents, or Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) are eligible to apply
  • The 2015 National Hispanic Health Professional Scholarship is open to any student enrolled full time in the accredited graduate programs like dental, medical (allopathic or osteopathic), nursing, public health or health policy
  • Eligible students must be enrolled full time for the 2015-16 academic year
  • Undergraduate students are not eligible for this scholarship (BSN are not eligible this year)
  • Applicants are not required to be Hispanic, an affinity for the health of Hispanic communities and an interest in participating in NHHF scholars Alumni activities is required

How to Apply:

 Supporting Documents:

  • Personal statement or essay, including career goals (double-spaced, two-page maximum)
  • Current curriculum vitae (education, employment, extracurricular activities, awards)
  • Letter of recommendation (one letter only)
  • Unofficial copy of school transcripts for the current 2014-2015 school year.
