ELKS Most Valuable Student Contest

 

The Elks National Foundation is glad to announce its Most Valuable Student Scholarship Contest for 2017-18. This student scholarship contest is open to any high school senior who is a US Citizen. The ENF is able to help Elks build stronger communities, Elks—offer your Lodge an opportunity to serve your community in ways that will raise the Lodge’s profile, energize the membership, encourage former members to return to the fold. The Elks National Foundation will award a total of $2.44 million to this year’s 500 finalists. Twenty top awards range from $20,000 to $50,000 over four years. Four hundred and eighty runners-up receive $4,000 scholarships.

The mission of the Elks National Foundation is to help Elks build stronger communities. The ENF is able to help Elks build stronger communities thanks to contributions from our generous donors.

Eligibility:

To be eligible for the scholarship you must be

  • Any high school senior who is a citizen of the United States is eligible to apply.
  • Applicants need not be related to a member of the Elks.
  • College students are not eligible to apply.
  • Applicants must be citizens of the United States on the date their applications are signed; permanent legal resident status does not qualify.
  • Male and female students compete separately.

How to Apply:

The 2018 application for ELKS Most Valuable Student Contest will open on September 1, 2017.

Financial Aid and Award Money:

  • First Place: 2 awards of $50,000 each
  • Second Place: 2 awards of $40,000 each
  • Third Place: 2 awards of $30,000 each
  • Fourth Place: 14 awards of $20,000 each
  • Runners Up: 480 awards of $4000 each
