The Anchor Scholarship Foundation is pleased to announce its scholarship program. The Anchor Scholarship is awarded to family members (children or spouses) of qualified Surface Navy sailors. The amount of the scholarship will be $2,000.00 whether part or full time. Applicants can be awarded an ASF scholarship a maximum of 4 times. Anchor Scholarships must be applied to tuition and tuition related expenses only.
The Anchor Scholarship Foundation provides scholarships to eligible family members (children and spouses) of active duty, retired or honorably discharged Surface Navy personnel.
Eligibility:
The Anchor Scholarship Foundation’s Board of Directors has revised the eligibility requirements. The applicants must follow the given guidelines:
- Spouses may pursue a first time Associates or first time Bachelor degree.
- Scholarships cannot be used to fund Graduate degrees.
- Spouses may attend part time or full time.
- Spouses may attend either a community college or a 4 year college/university.
- Applicants can be awarded an ASF scholarship a maximum of 4 times.

Copies of the following documents will be needed to confirm Surface qualification (SWO/ESWS) and dates of qualifying commands.
- OFFICER
- Sponsor’s Officer Data Card
- First page (only) of the detaching FITREP from each qualifying command
and/or - NAVPERS 1070/613 (Page 13) Administrative Remarks
- If retired, submit a copy of sponsor’s DD214 in addition to the above documents.
- ENLISTED
- Administrative Data and Career History pages of sponsor’s Electronic Training Jacket and/or
- Copies of sponsor’s service record NAVPERS 1070/605 History of Assignments (Page 5).
- If retired, submit a copy of sponsor’s DD214 in addition to the above documents.
