The Farm Kids for College Scholarship

At National Farmers, they are honored to encourage the next generation to chase their ag dreams – and catch them. With this aim, the National Farmers is now offering the “Farm Kids for College Scholarship” to ag dreamers who have major in an agricultural field. The competition is open to high school seniors who plan to pursue agriculture-related degrees from accredited colleges or universities.National Farmers announces three national scholarship winners in the spring of each year.All three winners will receive $1,000 stipend each.

NFO, Inc. (National Farmers Organics) defines itself by its sophisticated commodity marketing and ag risk management programs and services. National Farmers, a non-profit organization, began in 1955, as a way for producers to communicate agricultural and rural concerns to congressional and local leaders.

Eligibility:

To be eligible for the National Farmers Farm Kids for College Scholarship, you must:

  • Be a high school senior
  • Major in an agricultural field at an accredited college or university

Supporting Documents:

  • Write two brief essays
  • Two letters of reference
  • Official high school transcript and official GPA
  • Official ACT or SAT score
  • A recent photo

Submitting Details:

Submit your application and accompanying materials to your state National Farmers scholarship coordinator.

Financial Aid and Award Money:

NFO, Inc. (National Farmers Organics) is awarding three $1,000 scholarships in 2017. The award is disbursed directly to the college or university.

Application Deadline:

The candidates may submit their complete application to the coordinator for your state by March 2, 2017. Winners will announce on April 13, 2017.
