FCEF Donaldson D. Frizzell Scholarship

First Command Educational Foundation (FCEF) is pleased to announce Donaldson D. Frizzell Scholarship. The scholarship is named in memory of Donaldson D. Frizzell, whose dedication to serving others and contributions to the field force spanned three decades. Scholarships can be awarded to those seeking accredited trade school certifications and associate, undergraduate, and graduate degrees. $30,000 will be awarded in 2016. The total number and amount of awards will be determined by the independent Scholarship Review Committee.

First Command Educational Foundation (FCEF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit public charity dedicated to improving financial readiness through education and scholarship opportunities. FCEF has been providing its services since 1983.

Eligibility:

The Donaldson D. Frizzell Scholarship is open to:

  • Members of the U.S. uniformed services (active, guard, reserve, retired, or veteran) and their spouses and dependents
  • First Command Financial Services’ clients and their families,
  • Dependent family members of First Command Advisors and field office staff members, and
  • Non-contractual ROTC students.

Award Amount:

Total amount upto $30,000 will be given to the winners.

Application Deadline:

The application period for the 2016 scholarship is February 11, 2016, to April 14, 2016, or until FCEF receives 2,500 completed applications, whichever comes first.
