The USTA Foundation’s Tennis Scholarships

The USTA Foundation offers eight different scholarships for tennis-involved activity, including tennis management, athletic achievement in tennis, and off the court achievement. Most of the awards will give to high school seniors who are entering a four-year college or university program. The scholarships range from $2,500 to $15,000 over four years, in terms of financial stipends.

Eight different scholarships are as follows:

  • The Marian Wood Baird Scholarship
  • The Rosalind P. Walter Scholarship
  • The Dwight F. Davis Memorial Scholarship
  • The recipients of the Dwight Mosley Scholarship
  • The Eve Kraft Education & College Scholarship
  • The USTA Foundation College Educational Scholarships
  • The USTA Foundation College Textbook Scholarship
  • The Professional Tennis Management College Scholarship

The USTA (United States Tennis Association) Foundation, a charitable offshoot of the national tennis organizing committee, gives out thousands and thousands of dollars in scholarship money each year to deserving students that fill various criteria. Additionally, the entire USTA is a non-profit, meaning they donate 100% of their money to various tennis-related programs.

Eligibility:

All Scholarship is available annually to high school seniors (one male and one female)who have excelled academically, demonstrated community service and participated in an organized tennis program and who reside in an economically disadvantaged community.

Financial Aid and Award Money:

  • The recipient of the Marian Wood Baird Scholarship eligible to receive $3,750 per year for a total of up to $15,000 to cover costs of tuition, room, and board and educational materials.
  • The recipients of the Rosalind P. Walter College Scholarship are eligible to receive $2,500 per year for a total of up to $10,000 to cover costs of tuition, room, and board and educational materials
  • The recipients of the Dwight F. Davis Memorial Scholarship are eligible to receive $2,500 per year for a total of up to $10,000 to cover costs of tuition, room, and board and educational materials.
  • The recipients of the Dwight Mosley Scholarship are eligible to receive $2,500 per year for a total of up to $10,000 to cover costs of tuition, room, and board and educational materials.
  • The recipients of the Eve Kraft Education & College Scholarship are eligible to receive a one-time $2,500 scholarship.
  • The recipients of the USTA Foundation College Education Scholarship are eligible to receive $2,500 per year for a total of up to $10,000 to cover costs of tuition, room, and board and educational materials.
  • The recipients of the College Textbook Scholarship are eligible to receive a one-time $1000 award.
  • The recipients of the Professional Tennis Management College Scholarship are eligible to receive $2,500 per year for a total of up to $10,000 to cover costs of tuition, room, and board and educational materials.
  • All scholarship will be paid directly to the college or university in which the student is enrolled and is disbursed annually based on the recipient’s standing with his/her college.
