Stanford GSB Research Fellows Program

Because of its strong belief in the value of diversity in the pursuit of its educational mission, Stanford GSB strongly encourages applications for its Stanford GSB Research Fellows Program. The Research Program is a two-year full-time program commencing in July 2017 that brings additional dimensions to the educational experience. The fellowship offers tuition, health insurance, and a living stipend ($39,400 in 2015-16). Fellows will be provided with a workspace that is co-located with Stanford GSB Ph.D. students.

Eligibility:

Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. registered permanent resident and have a bachelor degree by the start of the program.

Financial Aid and Award Money:

  • The fellowship offers tuition, health insurance, and a living stipend ($39,400 in 2015-16).
  • Fellows participate in research projects and assist with empirical research papers initiated by GSB faculty members.
  • Fellows are required to take one doctoral-level course in business, economics, statistics, math, or related field during 2-3 quarters in the academic year. Course selection is made in consultation with faculty.
  • Fellows are expected to attend weekly field seminars. Faculty members and doctoral students jointly conduct these sessions, which consist of an interchange of research ideas and progress reports.
