NHS Scholarship Program

The National Honor Society (NHS) is pleased to announce Scholarship Program to all senior members in good standing. The scholarship program is supported by the parent organization of NHS, the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP). The Scholarship Program in response to the dire need to increase college access and student success, providing additional resources to help students and families face the rising costs of higher education. 300 scholarship awards are available to the winning candidates.

The National Honor Society (NHS) is the nation’s premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. NHS serves to recognize those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character.

Eligibility:

Any NHS senior member, in good standing, can apply for the NHS Scholarship Program.

How to Apply:

Application for the 2016-17 program will be available beginning November 1, 2016.

Award Amount:

  • 375 national semifinalists – $2,325 scholarship
  • 24 national finalists – $4,500 scholarship
  • 1 national winner – $20,125 scholarship

Application Deadline:

The student portion of the application must be completed and submitted by February 1, 2017, 11:59 p.m. (CT).
