The Midwest Renewable Energy Association (MREA) is excited to announce Steve Hansen Memorial Scholarship. The given scholarship is available to students who reside in the Midwest (WI, MN, MI, IA, IL, IN, OH, MO). High school students, college students, and non-traditional students are invited to apply. Criteria for awarding scholarships are based on student motivation, enthusiasm, and commitment. The given scholarship grants up to $500.00.
The Midwest Renewable Energy Association (MREA) promotes renewable energy, energy efficiency, and sustainable living through education and demonstration. The MREA will provide the highest quality renewable energy education and training experiences available.
Eligibility:

- Scholarships are awarded to students who reside in the Midwest (WI, MN, MI, IA, IL, IN, OH, MO). Students should possess a clear goal of desiring to make her or his community, environment, or world a better and more sustainable place to live.
- Students should be able to show prior interest and or education in the field.
- High school students, college students, and non-traditional students are invited to apply. Scholarships are typically set at $500, and will be sent directly to the college in the student’s name.

- Your past experiences or education related to environmental sustainability
- Your future goals
- Your reasons for choosing this course of study
