Long Island Attorney Ronald D. Weiss Scholarship Contest

In an effort to help a new generation meet their educational costs, Mr. Weiss is pleased to announce that he is offering incoming and existing college students an opportunity to win College Scholarship Contest. The contest is available to freshmen who are currently enrolled or planning to enroll at an accredited college or university. The purpose of the firm is to help with consultations and representation in the areas of bankruptcy law, foreclosure defense, and mortgage modification. The winners of the college scholarship contest will receive up to $2,500 by the Law Office of Ronald D. Weiss, P.C.

The Law Office of Ronald D. Weiss, P.C. is a debt relief agency as such term is defined under the United
States Bankruptcy Code. Their law firm concentrates in bankruptcy law and in foreclosure solutions.

Eligibility:

In order to be eligible to apply for the scholarship, applicants must fit the following criteria:

  • Be in good academic standing with your current educational institution.
  • If under 18, have the permission of your parent or guardian to apply.

How to Apply:

In order to apply, applicants must submit an essay on the following topic: What are the pros and cons of allowing student loans to be discharged in bankruptcy?  Explain your answer.

Submitting Details:

  • Submissions should be in Microsoft .Doc or .Docx format and should be between 500 and 1000 words.

Financial Aid and Award Money:

The Law Office of Ronald D. Weiss, P.C. is providing $2,500 to the winner of the contest.

Application Deadline:

The application will close on April 21, 2017, and the winner will be notified by email on May 5, 2017. All decisions are final and are subject to the discretion of Mr. Weiss.
