HARRASSOWITZ Charleston Conference Scholarship

HARRASSOWITZ, an international booksellers and subscription agents, is pleased to offer once again a $1,000 scholarship. The scholarship is intended to attend the Annual Charleston Conference that takes place November 2-5, 2016, in Charleston, SC. The scholarship is open to a librarian or paraprofessional who is currently working in a library. The winning candidate will receive $1000 scholarship that must be used for the 2016 conference.

The Charleston Conference is an informal annual gathering of librarians, publishers, electronic resource managers, consultants, and vendors of library materials.

Eligibility:

• The scholarship is open to a librarian or paraprofessional who is currently working in a library and who has not yet attended a Charleston Conference.
• Only applications from first-time Charleston attendees will be accepted.

How to Apply:

Pursuant to the 2016 Charleston Conference theme of “Roll with the Times, or the Times Will Roll Over You”, applicants are asked to write an essay of no more than 1,000 words on the following topic:

What does “Roll with the Times, or the Times Will Roll Over You?” mean to libraries and vendors?

Submitting Details:

Your essay and resume should be sent to scholarship-at-harrassowitz.de.

Award Amount:

A $1,000 scholarship will be given to the winning candidate to attend the Annual Charleston Conference that takes place November 2-5, 2016, in Charleston, SC.

Application Deadline:

Your essay accompanied by a one-page resume must be submitted on or before June 30, 2016.
