Fritz Scholarship Application

The University of Washington’s Center for Experiential Learning and Diversity (EXPD) is offering Fritz Scholarship program. The scholarship program is open for Current UW undergraduate students.The Fritz Undergraduate Scholarship is funded by the Chester Fritz Endowment. The scholarship provides competitive funding to students in the Humanities and Social Sciences.

EXPD develops reciprocal partnerships with students, communities, mentors, and faculty, in order to help students take academic risks, actively engage in their own learning, explore the world.

Eligibility:

  • Current UW undergraduate
  • Declared in a social sciences or humanities major in the College of Arts & Sciences, or comparable UW Tacoma or UW Bothell major (find a list of eligible majors here) at the time of application
  • 3.0 cumulative GPA (transfer students may use cumulative GPA including grades from transferred coursework)
  • Complete UW International Programs & Exchanges study abroad registration
  • Students who have previously applied but were not selected are welcome to apply again.
  • Those who have received Fritz Scholarship to support one study abroad may apply for the other scholarship to support a subsequent study abroad

How to Apply:

The online application for the 2015 Fall Fritz Scholarship will be available September 15, 2015.

Supporting Documents:

  • Provide basic personal information
  • Answer basic questions about your program (location, program dates, and program type)
  • The Fritz Scholarship application requires one essay, with the response limited to 800 words. The Fritz Scholarship also requires a CV upload.

Application Deadline:

Fritz Scholarship fall deadline is Friday, November 6, 2015 (for students studying abroad in Winter or Spring 2016).
