The Doug Westcott Memorial Scholarship, a one-time award of $500, will be presented to a Section V Basketball player who is planning to attend a four-year accredited college or university. It is sponsored by the Crane-Hogan Structural Systems of Spencerport, NY. The purpose of the scholarship is majoring in either physical education, sports management, or another related field. This scholarship will preserve the memory of a man named as Doug Westcott who wanted the Section V Tournament to get better each year. Winner of the scholarship will get up to $500.
Crane-Hogan Structural Systems, Inc. is a general construction firm that was founded in 1975 by Daniel C. Hogan and James R. Crane. Crane-Hogan specializes in new construction and rehabilitation of highways, bridges, parking garages, dams, buildings and both sewer and water treatment plants.
Eligibility:
To be eligible, the candidate is a Section V Basketball player who is planning to attend a four-year accredited college or university for the purpose of majoring in either physical education, sports management, or another related field.
