CIT Active Learning Faculty Fellowship

The Duke Center for Instructional Technology (CIT) is accepting applications for the “CIT’s Active Learning Faculty Fellowship”. The program is open to faculty of any rank who teach in Trinity, Pratt, Nicholas or Sanford. The purpose of this fellowship is to help faculty achieve greater student learning and deeper engagement with course material by using active learning and flipped classroom techniques proven successful at Duke and elsewhere. The faculties who will win, are eligible to receive a total of $1,100.

The Duke Center for Instructional Technology (CIT) contributes to Duke’s academic excellence by helping instructors explore and evaluate innovative ways to use technology and new pedagogies to meet their teaching goals. They support projects and proposals that align with Duke’s strategic initiatives and goals or will have a sustained or broader impact on the overall Duke community.

  • This fellowship program is open to Faculty of any rank who teach in Trinity, Pratt, Nicholas or Sanford.
  • Faculty who have dual appointments in one of these schools, even if their primary appointment is not in these schools

Financial Aid and Award Money:     

The Fellows program will consist of four parts with participating faculty eligible to receive a total of $1,100 deposited to a Duke University research account.

Application Deadline: 

Students interested in applying must submit their applications by Friday, April 21, 2017, by 5:00 pm. Applicants will be notified Wednesday, April 26th on the status of their application
