Looking for an automotive scholarship? You’ve come to the right place. Standard Motor Products, Inc. has put forward “The 2016 Intermotor Import Leader Scholarship Contest”. Legal residents of the fifty (50) United States who are enrolled full-time in high school year college, university or post-high school educational program are welcomed to apply. The “Grand Prize” of Intermotor Import Leader Scholarship Contest consists of a USD $5,000.
Standard Motor Products, Inc. was founded in 1919. It is headquartered in Long Island City, New York. SMP is a manufacturer and distributor of automotive parts in the automotive aftermarket industry.
Eligibility:
General eligibility requirements are as follows:
- Legal residents of the fifty (50) united states, the district of Columbia and Puerto rico.
- Are at least eighteen (18) years of age and no more than thirty-four (34) years of age at the time of entry.
- Are either currently enrolled full-time in high school, or currently enrolled full-time in an accredited two- or four-year college, university or post-high school educational program.
- Will be enrolled fulltime in college for the 2016-2017 academic year in a field of study focusing on automotive technology or careers in the automotive industry.
- Have, in his/her current level of education, a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4-point scale.

Award Amount:
Award amount includes:
- The “Grand Prize” consists of a USD $5,000 (Five Thousand Dollars) educational scholarship.
- The winner will be responsible for all costs and expenses related to the Grand Prize that are not specifically mentioned, including, but not limited to, all income, federal, state and local taxes and other expenses reasonably incurred by the winner in receiving or using the prize.
